Case 11 RPD metal framework returned from the lab- tried in and adjusted minimally to fit patient's maxillary arch. Patient presented with a loss of inter arch space as well as a collapsed anterior bite. Clinical decision was made to only fabricate the maxillary RPD with a minimal "ball clasp" on #6 and a tooth shape facing for #11. Patient's current occlusal scheme did not allow for anterior rest placements Tooth set up after wax try-in visit, prior to festooning. Final maxillary prosthesis after lab processing. Maxillary RPD adapted well on the maxillary cast, as well as in patient mouth. Intaglio surface of RPD evaluated using PIP and adjusted as needed. Occlusion adjusted to maintain bilateral contacts. Front of final prosthesis. Tooth facing was color matched to adjacent teeth and new denture teeth. Lateral view of final prosthesis on master cast.Anterior view with and without final prosthesis.
