Patient arrives with the chief complaint of very mobile mandibular anterior teeth and the fear of going out into public without the front teeth.

Although a simple, temporary solution, a flipper was designed and fabricated to be given to the patient on the day of extractions.
Learning from a prosthodontics faculty for this case really gave me an appreciation of the ways such a case could be managed.
Apart from setting teeth using the traditional rules, an “extra” incisor was set here to close the previously existing natural diastema and address patient’s esthetic concerns.

Midline congruent with maxillary anterior on the day of extractions. Incisal edge of denture teeth were raised very slightly to prevent showing an anterior open bite.

Patient comfortable and will continue treatment to receive mandibular FPD after bone healing.
